Peruvian cuisine reflects local practices and ingredients including influences mainly from the indigenous population, including the Inca, and cuisines brought by immigrants from Europe, Asia, and Africa. Without the familiar ingredients from their home countries, immigrants modified their traditional cuisines by using ingredients available in Peru.

Bolivian cuisine stems from the combination of Spanish cuisine with indigenous ingredients and  Aymara traditions, among others, with later influences from other European countries, and Arabs due to the arrival of immigrants from those countries. The traditional staples of Bolivian cuisine are corn, potatoes, quinoa, and beans.

SANTIAGO DE CHILE, CHILE

Chilean food is a mix of ingredients and dishes from the indigenous Mapuche and the Spanish. Chile has a wide variety of fresh seafood, and the countryside offers traditional Chilean asado where a whole lamb is barbecued over an open flame.

Venezuelan cuisine is a culmination of diverse cuisines and owes its variety to a plethora of influences including West African, Native American, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and French. National foods include arepa (a cornmeal bread) and hallaca (sweet cornmeal dough cooked in banana leaves). Other typical foods include passion fruit and tamarinds.

Argentine cuisine is heavily influenced by its European roots and has regional variations. Asado, dulce de leche, empanadas, and yerba mate are found throughout Argentina. Most regions of Argentina are known for their beef-oriented diet. In many parts of the country, food is prepared differently, some of which include a smaller degree food from pre-Columbian times.
