VENEZUELA

National foods include arepa (a cornmeal bread) and hallaca (sweet cornmeal dough cooked in banana leaves). Other typical foods include passion fruit and tamarinds.

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

Argentine cuisine is heavily influenced by its European roots and has regional variations. Asado, dulce de leche, empanadas, and yerba mate are found throughout Argentina. Most regions of Argentina are known for their beef-oriented diet. In many parts of the country, food is prepared differently, some of which include a smaller degree food from pre-Columbian times.
